Sorry, guys! Went MIA for a bit again cause work and school have been killer lately. Well, here are some quick Sherlock sketches to celebrate the premiere of season 3 (FINALLY!!). Warning: Spoilers everywhere! But you knew that already.

The first pic is just crack art and the second pretty much sums up this episode. Speech bubble reads: “Mon cheri, je suis ‘surprising and familiar,’ non?”

This is the first time I have ever loved Mary in any Sherlock adaptation. Not just tolerated, but loved! Amanda Abbington was the perfect choice!

Things that made this episode worth the insanely long wait:

  • All the teaser fake death scenarios that ANDERSON (?!?!) and his gang made up! (holy shit Morlock!)
  • How Sherlock’s death kind of broke Anderson… (wtf happened at the end? I’m still confused.)
  • How John said he had met someone and Mrs. Hudson automatically assumed that it was a guy.
  • French waiter Sherlock!! (though, I couldn’t help picturing Martin Crieff and his “bear polars”…)
  • John punching Sherlock.
  • John strangling Sherlock.
  • John strangling Sherlock on the floor while some sensual tango-esque music plays in the background. (seriously, Moffat??)
  • Mary becoming the biggest Johnlock advocate.
  • Sherlock trolling John with a car full of explosives.
  • Lestrade not-so-subtly asking Molly if he still has a chance of asking her out.

Ahh man, this episode was pretty darn perfect.

iocane7 said: I love your My Fair Watson art! Made that much funnier, to me, by knowing that Freddy Eynsford-Hill in the My Fair Lady film grew up to be Sherlock Holmes in the Granada version.

How did I not recognize Jeremy Brett in My Fair Lady?! My whole world has been flipped upside down.

Laughing and crying at the irony… cause we all know Freddy doesn’t get Eliza in the end.

Without you pulling it, the tide comes in.

Without you twirling it, the Earth can spin.

Without you pushing them, the clouds roll by.

If they can do without you, ducky, so can I!

I shall not feel alone without you!

I can stand on my own without you!

So go back in your shell!

I can do bloody well WITHOUT YOU!

Yay! I have internet and tablet access again! In celebration, I decided to draw some more fandom/musical crossovers. Here’s a “My Fair Watson” for you. It… uh… turned out surprisingly more angsty than I had intended. -_-“

If you don’t know this musical, the song is Without You from the end of My Fair Lady. (I actually really hate this musical, not for the music but for the ending. I wish the musical had just ended with this song, with a strong, independent Eliza ready to take on the world without the rotten professor. But that’s a rant for another time. In this crossover, I picture Watson singing this song in a much different tone.)

Let’s make the pants tighter,

Let’s make the bed sheets looser,

Let’s all go to Hell in a fast car and keep it HOT!

This is for the new Let’s Draw Sherlock culture swap challenge.

Culture can be defined in many different ways and doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with any nationality or ethnicity. I consider too many things my culture (nerd culture, art culture, American culture, Chinese culture, country culture, city culture, suburban culture, pop culture, indie culture, hipster culture, you name it!) but for the time being, I’m a New Yorker.

And the one thing I LOVE about New York is Broadway.

So yeah, here, have some musical theater culture!

[[P.S. In the words of Roxie Hart, “I could not have done it without you!”

A big thanks to all you lovely people who cheered me on across the finish line. I seriously hate spending the time to create finished, polished pieces, but all your sweet messages kept me going! :) ]]

When you start to get confused because of thoughts in your head,

Don’t feel those feelings! Hold them in instead.

Turn it off, like a light switch.

Just go click!

It’s a cool little Vulcan/Angel/Sherlock trick!

We do it all the time

When you’re feeling certain feelings that just don’t seem right,

Treat those pesky feelings like a reading light,

And turn ‘em off,

Like a light switch.

Just go bap!

Really, what’s so hard about that?

Turn it off!

- - -

So, I was listening to the OST for The Book of Mormon and this song had me in stitches!

Anyways, here’s why it’s Spock, Sherlock, and Cas singing the “Turn it off” chorus:

Spock, because Vulcan. Enough said.

Sherlock, because “caring is not an advantage.”

Cas before he fell for Dean, because angels don’t feel.

"I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but I know something’s happening right now. Watch and you’ll see, someday I’ll be part of your world."

(said in a super serious Cas manner)

Do you trust me?

I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid. Tell me, Watson, now when did you last let your heart decide?

Spirk (reboot)

There’s something sweet and almost kind, but he was mean and he was stern and had no feels. But now he’s dear and so I’m sure — I wonder why I didn’t see it there before.

I have a lot of Disney feels at the moment, what can I say?

I… didn’t think this meme would hurt so much ;___;

"Cas, please." Really? Did you have to, nonny??

John got Sherlock a special book for his birthday: How to be a Better Husband. Sherlock read the first chapter (“Truth soothes”) and decided to try it out. Now, John regrets his life decisions.

Got the midnight nommies so I decided to gobble down some apple pie… and what goes better with pie than a quick doodle of my top ships (and randomly, Eleven)? I’ll clean this up and color it properly later…

Alternatively, everyone in flower wreaths:

Cause men and flowers. MEN and FLOWERS.

I seriously can’t tell you how happy I am that this is a thing now.

Ok, story time:

John, now in his thirties, goes back to his hometown to visit a special tree, the tree that brought him and Sherlock together as the dearest of childhood friends. Sherlock had always loved to play pretend with John and assumed the persona of a genius detective capable of solving any mystery. John eventually realizes, however, that this is not just a game. Sherlock begins to act strangely by the end of that summer, crying or throwing temper tantrums for no reason. When John asks him what is wrong, Sherlock makes up a story about an arch-nemesis, Moriarty, who is out to kill him. John soon realizes that Moriarty isn’t a person and that this is one mystery no one can solve.

Note: Each image is a gif and should be animated. I noticed that some of them freeze on slower computers so if one of them is frozen, click here for the still-frame version of this post.

Man! I finally got this story out of my system! Lol. Sorry if some of the gifs are sloppy. I got really lazy towards the end. (Also, in case, it wasn’t obvious, “Moriarty” is Sherlock’s metaphor for some terminal hereditary disease that he knows will kill him.)

Also, I had originally intended for this to be a mock-trailer, set to the song, Somewhere only we know" by Keane.

Work in progress…

LOL. So if you’ve been a follower for a while, you’d know that I’ve been chugging away at a kid!Sherlock story for a while now and I keep giving up.

It started out as an animation, but I got impatient and scrapped that. Then, I promised you guys, I’d write a fic about it instead… Well, that was a pretty stupid promise for me to make. I write and edit manuscripts for a living so 40 hrs of that per week kind of kills all desires to write in my free time.

Well, now I’m going back to the animation idea but instead of making a full animation, I’m going to cheat and make a gif set.

Stay tuned! (and I seriously won’t cop out this time…)

Oh this was hard in all the wrong ways.

I didn’t want to marry Ten cause I can’t stand him for long periods of time. I definitely wanted to throw Jon off a cliff (don’t like him all that much). So that left me no choice but to marry Sherlock and shag Ten.

I’d definitely marry John.

I don’t really want to shag Greg…

So, shag Sherlock and cliff Greg it is.

Making me choose between the Martins!! How could you??

Ok, assuming we’re talking about the original book versions of these characters (not the movie/tv adaptations played by Freeman)…

I’d have to marry Arthur cause we’d bond over a good cup of Earth tea.

I’d shag John only cause Bilbo’s too short (and hairy).

And …weeping softly, I’d throw Bilbo off a cliff (hoping Gandalf will save him).

Marry Cas! (even though technically, I haven’t gotten far enough in the series to have met him yet)

Judging from all the hilarious Cas gifs out there, he seems like perfect husband material.

Shag Dean.

And cliff Sam.

Sorry, Sam… Dean is more shag-able and I just don’t like your character as much.

Marry Eleven without a second thought!!

Shag Sherlock.

(He may not be husband material, but he’s very shag-able)

Oh Spock, I’m so sorry!

Marry Bones!!! *gush* (assuming this anon is referring to the reboot movies of course)

Shag Kirk, cause who wouldn’t want to shag Kirk.

Stop forcing me to kill Spock all the time!

I’m in the mood for some more challenging ones. Give me your best shot! :>

(I’ll answer more tomorrow.)
